What We Do
Access to safe drinking water is one of world’s most severe problems.
780 million people lack access to clean water
The WHO estimates that 3.4 million people, mostly children, die annually from water-related diseases.
Most of these illnesses and deaths can be prevented through simple, inexpensive measures.
Over 85% of Central Americans do not have access to safe drinking water.
Every $1 invested in clean water brings a return of $4 to $12.

EOS International empowers rural families in Central America with access to safe drinking water and opportunities to generate income through simple technology solutions and education. EOS promotes, manufactures, installs, tracks, and educates its users on life-changing technology projects that allow communities to access clean water and create economic opportunities to empower individuals to break the cycle of poverty and improve their quality of life.
Our Approach
-
Promote
Raise awareness about our low-cost, high-impact technologies and their impact on communities.
-
Manufacture
Produce appropriate technologies with locally sourced materials that are easily repairable.
-
Install Technologies
Install technologies that improve health, generate income, and preserve the environment.
-
Educate Users
Teach recipients how to use, maintain, troubleshoot, and benefit from their technologies.
-
Track & Evaluate
Revisit and analyze technologies regularly to ensure their impact creates positive change.
We have developed a set of core technologies to help improve the quality of life for rural families in Central America by allowing communities to access safe drinking water and creating income generating opportunities. EOS empowers impoverished Central Americans by working with them as autonomous customers rather than charity recipients, and each beneficiary pays a share of the cost. Our team of engineers uses locally sourced materials to improve system designs that lower costs and improve efficiency for the average Central American. Each technology is tagged with GPS coordinates allowing us to revisit and analyze technologies long after the initial installation, insuring long-term success and constant improvement of our technologies.
We believe the bigger the impact the better. We collaborate with similar organizations towards extending our development and partner with those working in underserved communities throughout the developing world. We work with several partners to deliver formal training to volunteers on our core technologies, assist with system implementation, and provide workshops on how to construct and repair technologies. We also train the next generation of engineers for a better planet through our exchange program. We share technical information and serve as a resource to other groups looking to implement our technologies. By partnering with other organizations, we also leverage their relationships in communities across the globe to efficiently reach more people in need.
