EOS is Expanding!

 In Uncategorized

We are thrilled to announce that EOS has joined forces with International Rural Water Association (IRWA) to become a Central American influencer in providing safe water solutions across borders. Merging these two organizations is an example of how partnerships can lead to more efficient operations and greater impact building, with more than 20 years of combined experience in water implementation throughout Central America and over 500,000 people reached.

IRWA is a US-based nonprofit that provides funding and technical expertise to organizations focused on potable water treatment and distribution in Central America. IRWA supports Honduran nonprofit Agua y Desarrollo Comunitario (ADEC), founded by Fred Stottlemyer, which implements water treatment solutions and provides capacity building in Honduras with an advanced physical and chemical water laboratory and an innovative Circuit Rider program, consisting of monthly visits to communities.

“EOS is excited by the opportunities created through the merger with IRWA. This merger presents the opportunity to optimize our operations, improve efficiency, reduce administrative expenses, and reach more Central American communities with access to life-changing simple technology solutions. We are thrilled to further our collective mission by expanding our operations into both Nicaragua and Honduras.

-Wes Meier, CEO/Co-Founder EOS

As a result of the merger, all staff members in Honduras, Nicaragua, and the U.S. will stay on the team. EOS will serve as the surviving organization with the name remaining EOS International. Not only will we be able to build upon from the decade-long experience that both teams have, but we will also be able to benchmark the solutions and models that been effective in both countries. The needs are very similar in these neighboring countries, making this merger a good fit. In the nonprofit world, mergers are rare and exciting, but this will allow us to more than double our impact and reach more people.

Join us in kicking off this exciting merger with our Clean Water Across Borders campaign! With your help, we hope to raise $24,000 in life-changing donations over the next 22 days. These funds will provide clean water to over 40 communities in Central America.
