After earning a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish from George Fox University, Kendall served two and a half years in Nicaragua as an environmental education volunteer for Peace Corps. She teaches high school Spanish and is a current graduate student at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, working towards a Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction.
